Castletown capture the points on the road against Laxey
Castletown won away to Laxey - by a single point.
Robin McFee was the top scorer with 98 and the hugely consistent Richard Arthur was just one point back on 97. The three others in the first team line-up, John Paul Bridson, Andy Bell and Ian Arthur, all hit 96s.
Laxey were no slouches, either, with Harry Creevy and Greg Hogg both scoring near-perfect 99s.
The visitors picked up wins in divisions two and three.
Port St Mary get the better of Sulby
George Dalton-Brown's 98 led the line in Port's victory over Sulby.
For the visitors, Mark Cain and Peter Faragher both scored 97s.
The home side took the points in all three divisions.
Sandsiders are unplugged by Douglas
Matthew Roosen was the top scorer for Douglas with 98 as they won the derby at Sinclair Range.
Jean Quaye hit 96 for Sandsiders but Douglas won the day by seven points.

George Dalton-Brown unleashed a flawless 100 with Ben Kelly just a single point behind him as Port St Mary edged Douglas out at the Sinclair range.
Sharon Christian was the pick of the home side's Division One scores with a 98.
Port took the points in all three divisions.
Cain's score ensures Kirk Michael come up short at solid Sulby
Mark Cain was the top shot for Sulby with a near-perfect 99 with team-mate Peter Faragher on 98.
The visitors were competitive, though, with Perryn Watson on 97, Suzanne McKnight back on form with 96 and Lee Willis hitting a solid 95.
Top gun John Brewis is talk of the 'Town in win over Sandsiders
With Castletown now adding two electronic scoring targets to their range, they were able to take all the points against visitors Sandsiders. And John Brewis delivered a 99 to be his side's top gun. Jarvis Kelly was the best for Sandsiders with 96 with team-mate Jean Quaye a point back.

Port breach walls of defenders Castletown
Port St Mary saw off the challenge of Castletown with a powerful performance at home in the winter indoor league.
Paul Clague was the top scorer for Port on 98 and Derek Kermode on 97 and, for Castletown the ever-consistent Richard Arthur along with Robin McFee scored 97s.
As a result, the home side took the points in all three divisions.
Douglas in deadly form to KO Kirk Michael
IOMSC Douglas saw the return of several well-known shooters to take on Kirk Michael.
Matthew Roosen shot on paper targets for the first time this season and unearthed a fine 99 while Sharon Christian continued her comeback in the sport with a 90. David Humphrey, one of a family of three on the night, delivered 98.
Kirk Michael, now relying on their new influx of recruits in their second season with the club, had Perryn Watson as the top gun on 96, her second card of the night after shooting an important NSRA Inter-Counties card.
Kirk Michael took a win in Division Two.
Laxey leapfrog Sandsiders
Harry Creevy was the star act for Laxey with 98 as the visitors enjoyed a sound win over Sandsiders. Greg Hogg weighed in with 97.
Jean Quaye was the standout for the home side with a score of 97 but Laxey took all the points on the night.
Summer Competitions: The Results and prizes from St Johns
The Tynwald Handicap Shield was won by Paul Hartley, with a final score of 6611.
In the Osborn Carpets 600 competition, the winner of Class A was Matthew Roosen, with a final score of 3660. Perryn Watson won class B with a total score of 3590.5, and in Class C Sue Keown took the plaudits with a score of 3521.3.
For the second 600 Competition, the Class A winner was Matthew Roosen, scoring a total of 2445. Greg Hogg won class B with a score of 2422.9 and Paul Hartley won class C with a score of 2260.5.
The Sadler Junior League 30-shot competition was won by Jean Quaye with a total score of 1821.2. The winner of the silver medal was Myles Taylor, with a score of 1588.4 and the bronze medal went to Rhys Keown, with a score of 1152.2.
In the Jamaica Trophy Competition, the winner of the Jamaica Trophy was Matthew Roosen, with a score of 2444.9.
The Drinkwater Trophy goes to Perryn Watson with a score of 2392.6.
Sue Keown wins the Blackrock Trophy, with a score of 2358.5.
The awarding of medals and trophies will be coordinated in due course.

Richard Arthur wins Veterans comp
In the Veterans and Oake Competitions there was a strong entry of 14 shooters at Kirk Michael Rifle Club for those aged over 50 and Over 60.
The Veterans' competition was won by Richard Arthur who edged John Wood out by 99 to 97.
John Wood had set his sights high by reaching the final by scoring a perfect 100 and defeating David Humphrey who hit 93 in the semi-finals.
Steve Callus scored 92 and Richard Arthur 99 in the other semi-final.
The Oake competition saw John Wood win with a total of 197, Richard Arthur was second with 194, Steve Callus third with 183 and Terry Green fourth with 180.

COVID-19 continues to have an impact on the Winter League schedule. The match between Port St Mary and Laxey had to be postponed, owing to Port's ranks being seriously depleted due to the virus.
The other two matches went ahead, however, with Castletown beating Kirk Michael and Sulby beating Douglas in all three divisions.
Next week sees the league's senior shooters take part in the Veterans' & Oake Competition. The Veterans is open to shooters aged 50+ and the Oake to those aged 60+. The competition will be held at Kirk Michael range.

The new season got underway this evening with Division 1 wins for Laxey and Port St Mary and a draw for Castletown and Sulby.
Although Laxey's greater experience gave them a Division 1 away win against Kirk Michael, strength in numbers gave the hosts wins in Division 2 and Division 3. It's been a long time since Kirk Michael has been able to field three teams, so the points were most welcome!
Sulby and Castletown drew in Divsion 1, but strong performances and numbers meant that Sulby were the victors in Divisions 2 and 3
In a disappointing start to the season, Sandsiders were only able to field four shooters, meaning Port St Mary took the points in all three divisions.

The 2021-22 Season got underway with the Open Shoot. In a change to previous years, it was decided to hold this shoot at the beginning of the season, with all teams shooting on their home ranges and submitting the scores to the IOMRA Competitions Secretary. Results will follow.
The new league season will get underway on Monday 18 October 2021. Douglas start the season with a Bye. Sulby host Castletown, Laxey visit Kirk Michael and Sandsiders journey south to shoot on Port St Mary's newly installed electronic targets.
